Just a little bit off topic here but you mentioned an annual club meet. Are there any plans/ideas of how this will happen as we are scattered all over Australia.

Wheres the meet, lake Eyre? ... see who has the fastest car on the salt lake :P

If someone organised a date and location, say central Australia or inside the WA border, and give everyone heaps of notice to get time off work ... id be up for a massive road trip. Maybe have everyone in the same state cruise together.

If its only annually that we meet up its got to be a massive cruise!

What do you think?

Pete

hey Pete,

yes we did discuss this a bit a few months back and decided to go with either somwhere in victoria or south australia as we have members in qld and nt and wa but the majority seem to be in vic and wa . there will be a annual meet setup once the state is decided then we will discuss the venue and findout close accomodation for those traveling and also discuss things like trophies and small events, bbq lunches etc etc. but the club isnt quite big enough financally to pay for an annual event as yet, we are working on this and ill post up a new topic and keep everyone up to date on its progress

Going on from what Neale said in another thread about people pitching in when stuff needs to be paid for, maybe having a look at what the costs are per annum and spread that into 10 or 15 parts. Then you could say that $X is what people are encouraged to pay per person and with having a core of people who will want to put in money to keep the site going, (which will change over time) hopefully the costs will be covered or close to it. Extras can go on extras like food for a get together.
