Like most my rear quarter vents became brittle in the sun and broke off, so after some contemplation of options (new vents, plate it u, mesh, etc)....

It's pretty basic, but I got some door trim, cut to size/shape then with a pocket knife and some sand paper I shaped the edges to be similar to the vents. I then cut some grooves and glued the flat-bolts [that were blocking the indicator holes in the chassis] into the strip, then used that to hold it into place, plus a bit of double sided tape to help seal the edges and stop it from warping in the sun:


















Did both sides. No more vent issues for me.
